June 9 2016 The Salina Stockade defeated the Topeka Train Robbers 8-4 at Bettis Complex, scoring in five different innings and finishing with nine hits. Topeka collected seven hits in the loss, and both teams were charged with no errors.
Salina took a 2-0 lead in the first inning and added a run in the third before scoring twice in the fifth and twice in the sixth. The Stockade added another run in the eighth after Topeka had narrowed the margin with a two-run seventh and a run in the eighth.
Ryo Haruyama led Salina with three hits in five at-bats, two runs and two RBI.
Jean Carlos Peralta had two hits, including a double and a triple, with two RBI, while
CJ Epperson went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
Nick Wagner scored twice and reached base three times with one hit and two walks.
Gilbert Barrera earned the win after allowing one earned run on five hits in five innings with two walks and four strikeouts.

Fransisco Leon, D. Speranza and
Keifer McCLendon combined to finish the game for Salina.
Victor Soto took the loss for Topeka after allowing three earned runs on three hits in four innings, with four walks and one strikeout.
