June 13 2016 The Trinidad Triggers defeated the Salina Stockade 11-2 after collecting 11 hits and scoring in five different innings. Trinidad took a 1-0 lead in the first inning, added four runs in the third and scored once in both the fourth and fifth before putting the game out of reach with a four-run sixth. Salina scored once in the fourth and once in the fifth and finished with seven hits.
Erick Magee led Trinidad’s offense with two hits, including two home runs, and five RBI.
John Nicholson went 2-for-4 with a home run and one RBI, while
Caleb Baker added two hits, two runs, two walks and two RBI.
Eric Williams had two hits and one RBI, and
Brian Frazier contributed a hit, two runs and one RBI.
Denver Diefenbach earned the win for Trinidad after allowing two runs, one earned, on seven hits in six innings. He walked three and struck out seven. D. Monda completed the game with a scoreless inning. Salina starter
