John Carlos Peralta hit two home runs to carry the Salina Stockade (16-17) to a 13-8 win over the Great Bend Boom (13-19) at Al Burns Field.
Carlos Peralta racked up six RBIs on two hits for the Salina Stockade. He homered in the third and eighth innings.
Offense was not hard to come by on on Friday, as both teams combined for 21 runs and 23 hits, including zero extra base hits. Both bullpens were busy with seven pitchers used in the game as the skippers of both squads tried to finish it off.
Skyler Janisse struck out six hitters en route to the the Salina Stockade win. Janisse allowed two earned runs on five hits and one walk over seven innings.
It was a good day at the plate for the Great Bend Booms Tevin Padgett. Padgett went 2-4 and scored three runs. He singled in the eighth inning.
Matt Marino ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in four innings, walked two and struck out one.
