The Alpine Cowboys (26-29) had a tough outing on Tuesday, as the Salina Stockade (27-29) dominated in a 10-4 win in seven innings at Kokernot Field.
The Salina Stockade scored four runs in the fifth on the Salina Stockade scored in the fifth on a two-run single by Ray Hernandez, a two-run single by Hernandez, and a two-run single by Morgan Blatnik.
Hernandez racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Salina Stockade.
Nate Ferrell went a perfect 3-3 at the plate for the Alpine Cowboys. He homered in the third inning and singled in the first and fifth innings.
Evan Bickett put together a nice outing. The Salina Stockade managed just one hit off of the the Alpine Cowboys pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his two innings of work.
Skyler Janisse improved to 6-3 on the year by picking up the win for the Salina Stockade. He allowed four runs over seven innings. Janisse struck out four, walked three and gave up eight hits.
Cam Carney (0-1) took the loss for the Alpine Cowboys. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
