The Salina Stockade release their 2019 Schedule. For the 2019 season, The Salina Stockade will serve as the Travel Team in the Pacific Association of Professional Baseball Clubs. The Stockade will not play any home games. The Pacific Association of Baseball Clubs in a six team professional baseball league in San Francisco Bay Area that was founded in 2012. Teams in the Pacific Association are the San Rafael Pacifics, Sonoma Stompers, Vallejo Admirals, Napa Silverados.

Founded in 2016 the Salina Stockade

Founded in 2016 the Salina Stockade are the only team in baseball history to play in four leagues in four years. The name Stockade refers to the Stockade that was built around Salina, Kansas in the early 1900s that could not be penetrated by enemy forces. The Stockade are the only team in independent baseball history to play in three different leagues in three consecutive years. The Stockade have always been a travel team with limited or no home games. In 2016 and 2017 the Stockade called Salina, Kansas home and played home games at Dean Evans Stadium in Salina, Kansas. The Stockade are owned and operated by the Pecos League with Andrew Dunn serving as director. David Peterson has been on all coaching staff in some capacity. The teams colors are Navy Blue, Royal Blue, Powder Blue, Silver and White.

For the 2019 season, The Salina Stockade will serve as the Travel Team in the Pacific Association of Professional Baseball Clubs. The Stockade will not play any home games. The Pacific Association of Baseball Clubs in a six team professional baseball league in San Francisco Bay Area that was founded in 2012. Teams in the Pacific Association are the San Rafael Pacifics, Sonoma Stompers, Vallejo Admirals, Napa Silverados.

In the 2018 season, the Salina Stockade served as one of two international teams in the CanAm League. The CanAM League is based in Quebec and Metro New York City. The Stockade replaced the Cuban National Team who had served as the International Travel Team in 2017. The Stockade played an 18 game schedule playing each of the full time Can Am League Teams three times. The teams in the Can Am League were the Rockland Boulders, Sussex Miners, New Jersey Jackals, Quebec Capitales, Trois Riveres Aigles, Ottawa Champions. The Stockade completed the season with a 4-14 record playing many close games.

In the 2017 season, the Salina Stockade served as the replacement travel team in the American Association of Professional Baseball Clubs. The American Association is a 12 team league that followings I-35 through the heart of the United States. The teams in 2017 were the Winnipeg Gold Eyes, Fargo Morehead Redhawks, St Paul Saints, Sioux Falls Canaries, Sioux City Explorers, Gary Railcats, Lincoln Saltdogs, Texas Airhogs, Cleburne Railroaders, Wichita Wingnuts, and Kansas T-Bones. The Stockade replaced the Laredo Lemurs one week before the season. The Stockade completed the season with an 18-72 record. The Stockade played eight games at home at Dean Evans Stadium in Salina, Kansas. In 2018 the Chicago Dogs entered as an expansion team to give the league a balanced number of teams. In 2019 the Milwaukee Milkmen replaced the Wichita Wingnuts to keep the league balanced at 12 teams.

In the 2016 season, the Salina Stockade served as the travel team in the Pecos League. The Stockade played 10 home games against the Great Bend Boom and Topeka Train Robbers at Dean Evans Stadium. Dean Evans was heavily used as was not available to host series only individual games. The Stockade narrowly missed the playoffs having one the leagues best pitching staffs and worst offenses.

This was the final game of the Peco

This was the final game of the Pecos Spring League. Most notably the game was played with a 62.5 foot mound. The game was a 7-3 final and by the 4th inning pitchers had fully made an adjustment. Cip Garza and Brett Marshall threw excellently as starters...

The following coaches/players were interviewed and gave their feedback on 62.5 foot mound. Cip Garza "I have had some control issues in my lifetime, the 62.5 foot mound didnt effect me I actually walked less people than I have on a 60.5 foot mound."

Brett Marshall "I had to make minor adjustments to my breaking ball but that was it."

Tyler Herr "The mound looks really far"

Andrew Dunn "By the fourth inning everyone stopped worrying about the mound and it was a regular game. "

Sonoma, California-For the 2019 season, The Salina Stockade will serve as the Travel Team in the Pacific Association of Professional Baseball Clubs. The Stockade will not play any home games. The Pacific Association of Baseball Clubs is a five team professional baseball league in San Francisco Bay Area that was founded in 2012. Other teams in the Pacific Association are Sonoma Stompers, Napa Silverados, Vallejo Admirals, San Rafael Pacifics

The roster will consist of players that played for the Salina Stockade in the CanAm League in 2018 as well as players who played in the Pecos League in 2018. The Stockade will offer two public tryout camps for players. One will be May 18 in Griffith Park in Los Angeles. The other will be May 28 in Monterey, California at Sollectio Park.

The Salina Stockade Roster will be released May 29 and the Schedule will be released April 1. All Team information will be viewable at http://www.SalinaStockade.com

The Apollos outlast the Salina Stoc

The Apollos outlast the Salina Stockade 18-13 in a day where the wind was blowing straight out to CenterField. With the game tied at 12 in the 5th inning, Bryan Kloppe setup the first triple play in Pecos Spring League history. Getting Taylor Downey to lineout to 3rd base where threw out Manny Lujan at first base. Daniel Williams attempted to score on the throw to first and was thrown out at home. The Stockade took a 13-12 but the Apollos struck in the 6th with Andrew Dunns bases loaded single giving them the lead and Miyata Satoshi home run put the game out of reach.

Roberto Jimenez started for Salina he pitched 4 innings allowing 13 hits and 12 runs. Johnny Ramirez pitched a scoreless inning for the Stockade. Chance Miranda took the loss for the Stockade he pitched the sixth inning allowing 6 runs on 2 walks and 3 hits.

Andrew Dunn started for Apollos he pitched 5 innings allowing 14 hits and 12 runs. Bryan Klopped pitched 2 innings to get the win with one strikeout and 0 walks.

Jose Reyes and Daniel Williams each homered and went 3-4 with 3 runs scored for Salina. Jake Pulcheon scored 4 runs in the leadoff spot going 2-3 with 2 walks. Andrew Dunn went 3-5 with 3 rbis. Miyata Satoshi went 2-3 with a grand slam to lead the Apollos. Houston Apollos 18 Salina Stockade 13

Brett Marshall pitched four innings allowing 1 run while striking out 5. Scott Gamble pitched three innings striking out 2 allowing 0 runs.

For the Stockade:

Thomas Nelson pitched one inning allowing 3 runs. David Peterson threw 5 innings allowing 12 runs. Johnny Ramirez pitched 1 inning allowing 1 run.

Daniel Williams went 3-4 with a to lead the Stockade. Brett Marshall went 2-5 for the Apollos, Edwin Stanberry went 3-3 for the Apollos, Garrett Mack and JT Salnaker went 3-4 for the Apollos.

The Houston Apollos defeated the Salina Stockade 7-5 on another beautiful day in Houston, Texas. Aaron Ford started for the Apollos throwing two scoreless innings striking out four hitters. Zech Zinecola pitched three innings allowing two runs and picking up the win. Julian Tejada pitched one inning allowing one run. Bryan Kloppe pitched the 7th allowing two runs to preserve the win.

Jack Finnegan started and pitched the first inning for the Stockade allowing one run while striking out two. Chance Miranda pitched 3-1/3 innings throwing 76 pitches allowing four runs. He struck out 4 and walked 4. He took the loss. Mason Smith pitched one inning allowing 1 runs. Johnny Ramirez pitched 1-2/3 innings allowing 1 run.

The Apollos had a 2-0 lead in the 4th until Colton Lavergne hit a tying two run homer for the Stockade. The Apollos would score 3 runs in the top of the 5th with Zech Zinecolas double and Taylor Downeys single. Downey finished 2-3. Rami Jadallah also had a key RBI single to finish 1-1 on the day.

This game was played on 3/22/2019 at Coastal Park

Jacob Gonzalez lead the Salina Stockade to an 8-2 victory over the Houston Apollos. Gonzalez went 3-3 with a majestic home run to dead center field. He also had a key single to lead the Stockade with 2 rbis. The big story was Gonzalez on the mound where he pitched four innings in relief striking out 6 and allowing 2 runs. He walked 6 but he was able to escape all jams. Kyle Porter pitched two scoreless innings as the starter for Salina. Chance Miranda pitched one inning striking out all three batters he faced.

Colton LaVergne went 3-3 for the Stockade as well.

The Apollos managed just two hits and two runs. Brett Marshall and Bryan Klopped each allowed four runs. The teams will return to the field on Saturday 3/23 at 1:00 PM.

Hollywood Stars 6 Salina Stockade 3

This game was played on 2/17/2019 at Sam Lynn Ballpark. Jake Pulcheons three homer leads the Hollywood Stars to a 6-3 Victory over the Salina Stockade. Pulcheon was 2-4 on the day. Richard Kerr came on the replace Jordan Ackerman and went 2-3 scoring 2 runs. Nolan Hoff also went 2-4 and Raphael Matchett went 2-3 for the Stars.

On the mound for the Stars it was Donald Wanner Jr. who started going 7 innings striking out 7 allowing 2 runs. Tanner Klein threw two innings of relief to preserve the win allowing 1 run.

Albert Neff pitched five innings allowing 5 runs while striking out 7. Charlie Fletcher pitched two scoreless innings of relief. Travis Edgar pitched a scoreless inning of relief. Omar Artsen went 2-4 for the Stockade. Don Andre Clark scored two runs for the Stockade. With the win the Stars take full control of first place in the Western League with a record of 3-0.. All other teams in the Western League have a record of 1-2.

This game was played on 2/9/2019 at Sam Lynn Ballpark

The Great Bend Boom rebounded from their opening night loss to defeat the Salina Stockae. The Key moment was Scott Stetson hit an 8th inning pitch hit two run home run to tie the game at 5. Kelvin Guzman got what proved to be the game winning hit in the top of the ninth with a bases loaded single. Chuck Rocker pitched the ninth inning for the save.

On the mound for the Boom: Donald Robertson started throwing 5 innings allowing 1 run. Thomas Nelson pitched 3 innings allowing 3 runs. Chuck Rocket pitched 1 inning allowing 1 run.

On the mound for the Stockade: Evan Nakagawa started for the Stockade throwing 103 pitches in 6 innings allowing 2 runs. Julian Tejada pitched two innings allowing two runs. Charlie Fletcher pitched one inning allowing 2 runs taking the loss.

This game was played on 2/7/2019 at Sam Lynn Ballpark

The Salina Stockade defeated the Bakersfield Blues 8-3 in the inaugural game of the Western League. There was no sun to contest with in centerfield as fans Sam Lynn Ballpark reached 48 degrees by the end of the night. The conditions were wonderful for Winter Baseball

Taylor Zeutenhorst hit a three run homer in the top of the 8th inning to break open a tight ballgame. Albert Neff threw seven innings with ten strikeouts, two hits, two runs allowed to lead the Stockade to their inaugural win. Charlie Fletcher pitched a scoreless 8th inning of relief. Travis Edgar pitched the ninth inning allowing one run while walking the bases loaded.

The Blues managed just two hits. Coleman Poje scored both runs for the Blues and had the lone RBI for the Blues. On the mound for the Blues: Jonathan Vance pitched three innings allowing 1 run. Logan Campbell pitched two innings allowing no runs. Johnny Ramirez pitched two innings allowing 1 run. Bradley Issac pitched one inning allowing 4 runs. Colin Kelly pitched one inning allowing 1 run.

The Blues and Stockade are off on Friday Night as the Hollywood Stars will take on the Great Bend Boom.
